Every ASL sign is made up of five basic parts. These are handshape, palm orientatin, location, movement, and non-manual signals (eyebrows and facial expression). You can change the meaning of a sign by changing one of these parts. This DVD with accompanying book presents the sign for different animals by using the same "bent 5" handshape.
